Introduction

This section provides an overview of the JavaPOS for Datalogic Connect, also referred to as SDS JavaPOS. This preview version introduces the possibility to use SDS JavaPOS with the AladdinSDS, which is part of the Datalogic Connect. For more information on the Datalogic Connect and AladdinSDS, please refer to the Datalogic Connect documentation and AladdinSDS documentation.

This section will guide you through the installation and configuration of JavaPOS for Datalogic Connect, enabling you to integrate and manage devices effectively within your IoT solutions. This is an unofficial version of JavaPOS, and it is intended for preview purposes only. A stable version will be released in the future, which will include additional features and improvements.

Overview

SDS JavaPOS is the Datalogic JavaPOS with one additional feature that adds communication mechanisms to and from AladdinSDS. The communication mechanism works by utilizing HTTP and WebSocket protocols, or HTTPS and secure WebSocket (WSS) with SSL/TLS certification.

Integration Overview

SDS JavaPOS operates in a manner similar to using the Datalogic JavaPOS:

To successfully communicate with AladdinSDS through SDS JavaPOS, eight JAR files are included in the SupportJars directory:

  • gson-2.8.6.jar
  • kotlin-stdlib-1.9.0.jar
  • kotlin-stdlib-common-1.9.0.jar
  • kotlin-stdlib-jdk7-1.9.0.jar
  • kotlin-stdlib-jdk8-1.9.0.jar
  • okhttp-4.12.0.jar
  • okio-3.6.0.jar
  • okio-jvm-3.6.0.jar

These libraries provide support for HTTP, HTTPS, WebSocket (ws://), and secure WebSocket (wss://) connections, requests, and responses.
