Windows
This page lists the values of the AladdinSDS configuration that differ on Windows: file location, paths and the way changes are applied. The sections and options of config.toml themselves are platform-independent and are described in the Configuration reference; the Linux side is on the Linux page.
Configuration File Location
The service reads its configuration from:
C:\ProgramData\Datalogic\AladdinSDS\config.toml
Platform-Specific Values
TOML strings on Windows use double backslashes, so C:\ProgramData is written "C:\\ProgramData" in the file.
| Option | Section | Windows value |
|---|---|---|
downloadPath | [agent] | "C:\\ProgramData\\Datalogic\\AladdinSDS\\download" (recommended; the default "download/" is relative) |
windowsPath | [updater] | "C:\\Program Files\\Datalogic\\SDSUpdater\\DatalogicSDSUpdater.exe" (default) |
| Installation folder | none (chosen in the installer) | C:\Program Files\Datalogic\AladdinSDS\ by default, or the folder selected during installation |
Applying Changes
Back up config.toml, edit it, then restart the AladdinSDS Windows Service. The Windows installation guide shows the restart step.
The [updater] section takes effect only where the SDS Updater component is installed. The Windows installation guide asks to deselect that component during setup, so on a standard installation windowsPath is not used.
Logs
The service writes its logs to the log/ directory of the installation folder, C:\Program Files\Datalogic\AladdinSDS\log\ on a default installation.
